Brief Description:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist performs all insurance follow-up and no response activities across our organization.  Job duties include, but are not limited to, contacting insurance companies to determine reasons claims are outstanding, understanding and correcting any issues with claims as described by insurance companies to facilitate payment, providing additional information as requested by insurance companies to ensure timely payment of claims, identifying trends in delayed or denied payments by insurance companies to remidiate issues and ensure timely payments when billed. They will perform these duties while meeting the mission and goals of our organization, as well as meeting the regulatory compliance requirements. 

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable Specialist responsibilities include contacting insurance companies to determine reasons claims are outstanding, understanding and correcting any issues with claims as described by insurance companies to facilitate payment, providing additional information as requested by insurance companies to ensure timely payment of claims, identifying trends in delayed or denied payments by insurance companies to remidiate issues and ensure timely payments when billed. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years experience in healthcare.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in physician and hospital operations, compliance and provider relations preferred

Hours

 Full-Time, 40 hours/week

 Day shift
