Billing Integrity Specialist

Brief Description:

The Specialist of Billing Integrity performs all revenue cycle systems activities across Ensemble Health Partners. Job duties include, but are not limited to, resolving billing errors in order to send claims to insurance companies for timely payment, working with coding and patient access departments to ensure compliant billing practices, providing additional documentation as needed to insurance companies, monitoring transfer of claims electronically to clearinghouse, working with Denials Management department to identify trends in billing errors, and identifying new claims edit needs to facilitate accurate billing.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

Responsibilities:

  • Billing Integrity Specialists responsibilities include resolving billing errors in order to send claims to insurance companies for timely payment, working with coding and patient access departments to ensure compliant billing practices, providing additional documentation as needed to insurance companies, monitoring transfer of claims electronically to clearinghouse, working with Denials Management department to identify trends in billing errors, and identifying new claims edit needs to facilitate accurate billing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years experience in healthcare industry.
  • Experience in physician and hospital operations, compliance and provider relations preferred.
  • Combination of post-secondary education and experience will be considered in lieu of degree

Hours

Full-time, 40 hours per week, days, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
