The Credit Balance Analyst performs review of all credit balances within Revenue Cycle.  Job duties include, but are not limited to, analyzing all credit balances both patient and insurance. They will process patient and insurance refunds. 

Credit Balance Analyst will review accounts with a credit balance.

Generate overpayment letters to insurance carriers.

Investigates returned checks.

Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education: 2 yr. Associates Degree

Prior experience not required.  Candidates must meet all of the following criteria in order to be eligible for this position.

1. High School Education or GED required

2. Some Post High Education (Trade School, College, etc.) preferred

3. Healthcare Cash Posting, Registration, Medical Office, Insurance, or billing back-ground preferred

4. Must pass typing test of thirty-five (35) words per minute (Error Adjusted)

5. Must pass 10-key test of 10,000 KPM and >95% Accuracy

6. Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge and skills

7. Revenue Cycle Proficiency test – pass rate of 50% or above

8. Pass basic standard math test as provided by the Education department
