Job Summary

The Videographer is responsible for ensuring world-class video outputs for both external and internal commnicaitons.  He/She will be responsible for the full scope of video produciton from set preparation and lighting to color correcting and editing. 

Job duties include:

Logistics and planning for video shoots - Props, set management, location scouting, shot planning, equipment management and procurement, talent management, scheduling, budgeting.

Creative collaboration with marketing team and other key stakeholders - Assist with creative concepts, storyboarding, scripting.

Setting up and shooting video - Cameras, rails/dollys, cables, lighting, sound, grip, power, etc.

Editing and post production - Color correction, editing footage and sound files, inputting source music and audio tracks, sourcing and inputting stock footage, inputting graphics and effects, creating animaitons.

Equipment management and maintenance.

Administrative - Expenses, travel, communications, archiving project media.

Qualifications - Minimum

• Familiarity with professional cameras, prosumer camcorders, preproduction/planning, studio and field production, lighting/grip, scriptwriting, storyboarding and photography.

• Familiarity with small format mixers, compression, EQ, effects processors, audio recording techniques for studio and field, multi-track and waveform editing.

• Experience with still and motion graphics design, color correction, sound mixing, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms.

• Stellar written and verbal communication skills

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Ability to thrive in a team environment

• Aptitude for making quick, quality decisions.

• Remaining calm under pressure and having a great sense of humor are also big assets.

• Proven work experience as a video editor

• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)

• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity

• Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing

• Creative mind and storytelling skills

• BS degree in film studies, cinematography or related field a plus
