Job Summary

Provides accurate and timely release of information to hospitals, insurance billers and physician practices for patient care and billing purposes

Essenitial Functions:

  • Completes faxed release of information requests from hospitals, insurance billers and physician practices within thirty minutes of receipt
  • Answers phones and directs calls as appropriate
  • Monitors digital fax queues and indexes patient information to patient electronic medical record within thirty minutes of receipt
  • Scans all processed requests for information into HPF computer system for electronic storage

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least one year of clerical/office experience; workable knowledge of HIPAA regulations is required
  • Detail-oriented, organized, excellent communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with physicians and their staff; ability to work in a fast paced environment

Hours

Full-Time at 40 Hours/Week from 9:00am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday. There may be slight changes in hours to allow for coverage.
